Quality is of paramount importance to Vale; we fully appreciate the need for rigorous inspection and record keeping relating to the many and varied paint and fire protection systems applied here at our works.
Our Quality department ensures that the environmental conditions required for the coating of steelwork is maintained within the parameters set out in the paint manufacturers technical data sheets. This is essential for the proper curing of the system, and the correct performance of the coating.
Regular monitoring of the coating works in progress is made, and wet film thickness readings taken by the painter to guide the process, with dry film thickness inspection using Elcometer electromagnetic gauges made upon completion.
We have an open door policy with our clients, and our paint suppliers, and actively encourage their inspection of their steelwork at any time, maintain permanent records on our computerised system, and issue where required copies of the inspection reports, together with certificates of conformity, and upon completion of fire protection projects, a fire certificate produced by the material manufacturers and endorsed by us.
Vale Protective Coatings Ltd quality does not stop at the workshop door, and where we undertake work on site, from basic touch up of intumescent fire protection, to the production of highly decorative finishes, the same attention to detail, and quality ethos is carried forward to completion of our works.
